Beer at the Alfred, Farnham
Since acquiring the free hold in 2009 The Alfred has become one of the best places to sample, drink and enjoy various real ales from breweries across the country. With our ‘house beer’ of Bowman’s Wallops Wood and three guest ale pumps that change after each barrel, there will always be a beer for you at The Alfred.
Not only do we care about the quality of our beer, but as we deal directly with breweries, we are able to offer all of our ales at a consistently low price (£3.50 March 2017). Our passion for beer has been accredited by CAMRA as we have featured in the Good Beer Guide for the last seven years. Alongside our day-to-day ale offerings, we also hold two annual beer festivals in May and October that offer over 20 real ales alongside a few guest ciders.
As popular as our ales are, we have also extended our range of keg beer. Ever heard of black lager? Well we hadn’t until one of our market research trips (pub crawls) around London, and we loved it. Its called Kostritzer and its 4.8% of black deliciousness. There is also another tap we keep free for various ‘crafty’ keg beers, which are becoming ever more popular. And of course we have a full wine list and various spirits, lagers, ciders, soft drinks etc.
