Farnham’s Beer-Focussed, Independent Free House
The Alfred in Upper Hale has been owned and operated since 2008 by the Curran family. We’re pub people and work hard to create a friendly and welcoming environment with the best beers.
We offer an ever changing selection of beers from entirely independent breweries and have a great mix of traditional ales and craft beers.
We’re not fans of boring beer, so you won’t find any on our pumps.
Situated in Upper Hale, Farnham we are a short taxi/bus from central Farnham or a 25 minute walk (be warned, it’s uphill!).
We are a friendly, community pub with a chatty, relaxed atmosphere, so don’t be alarmed if someone starts talking to you! We welcome a loyal, local crowd, and are always thrilled to see new faces too.
